The multi-blade combination knife is very shiny and has numerous rust areas. Two inside-the-handle tools: a pick of dark plastic (tortoise?) , and a tweezers with opening on the pull end. ID lettering if fine and worn away, but looks like 'Simmons", ???, and 'Hardware". Has gray leather pouch with single snap. ANY ESTIMATE RE VALUE? HOW SHOULD RUST AREAS BE 'TREATED'?
Info to date from bob bowie, Registered User:
**Age: 1920's or earlier.
**Manf./Seller: E.C. Simmons, hardware wholesaler,
had it made for them, probably by Walden Knife co.
**Rarity: Scarce, especially in good shape.
**Handles: Pearl, the toothpick might be Tortoise.
**The blades are shiny because of the high degree of finish, and that it was taken care of/not used.
**Just keep it oiled with mineral oil.
BIG THANK YOU.
