Perhaps this isn't the right place for it, but as we may all know, 58 years ago, Pearl Harbor was bombed my the Japanese Empire, pulling the United States into World War II. I'd just like to recognize those who served, and those who gave their lives to preserve what the United States stands for.

Sincerely,
Mitch

Noble sentiments, well spoke. We should not confine our respect and gratitude to specific dates and remembrances, but show it through how we live our lives every day.

Well said, Mitch! We can never truly repay our debt to those who served.

We do owe them our thanks. I join you in recognizing those who served.

I also am thankfull there are those who still serve and protect us.

VG pointed out in another thread that the newspapers may have left out mention of Pearl Harbor because it might affect relations with Japan. The Washington Post did not mention Pearl Harbor at all. I consider this a slight to those who served and the many who died to protect us. Shame on those newspapers who neglected to make appropriate remembrance.

Many may wish to forget but it will never happen. Just as many wish to purport that the Nazi massacres never happened.
As long as we have a Military and people like y'all it will always be remembered.

Peace
