So I have heard that Svord Peasent knives either have L6, L7, or 15N20 - I am curious as to which I have, or which svords have which and how to tell.
And also if there are differences in them, in terms of corrosion and care needed, edge retention, etc...

I have the Svord Peasent Knife "Clip Point Heavy Duty PK3CP" in Black Polypropylene - and I intend to order a few more of various kinds soon.

Am about to apply some rust protection and am trying to figure out how often I should maintain it, so I can set it into my schedule - and have no clue since Idk what kind of steel it is.

Hi,
If you lookup SVORD-PK3CP-BLK on knifecenter it stays carbon steel so its probably 1095

This review of mini peasant talks about 15N20 also having low corrosion resistance ...

So whatever the steel, I would treat it the same, wipe blade dry after use
and sometimes spray wd40 or wipe with baby oil ...
