The first reference is for a knife from AiR - quite well known mass producer in Russia. When I saw the picture the first time I thought it is a joke manufactured with Photoshop. But it turned out to be a real thing. I do not think there would be anything wrong with it except for looks.
Pegas I have never heard of. And the steel 40X10C2M does not sound any familiar. They actually did not specify the steel exactly. I think 95X18 and this 40X10 are very different kind of animal. I am not an expert and do not have a great interest in Russian steels, but their most common SS steels used for knife making are (in descending order): 95X18, 65X15, 45X13 - the first is most commonly used for various utility knives, the last one - mostly for kitchen knifes and alike. 40X10 - it sounds to me much more like 420 at most...

Don't have a clue what those are, but if you want Russian steel from Zlatoust, take a look at ROSarms knives, there is a manufacturer-hosted subforum here that you can take a look at.

Thanks for the replys and info. I think the designs are sweet. They also look like they are quality made.

1 more follow-up question is.... Of the two links I posted what makers make a knife similar to the second link I posted. I know about the Puma model but is there anything else that would be similar in style and a good/well known steel?
Thanks

If you scroll down on the first one it says the analog is 440B. IMO 440B isn't worth $130.

I did more digging this afternoon/evening. 40X10C2M steel is not really 440B analog, having half the Carbon(closer to 420Mod), less Cr, more Si, etc. As I understand, it is a heat resistant valve steel, and I am not sure where all that benefits its knife qualities. May be resistance to elements, but lack of Cr makes that questionable...
