Hello again,
I know that a system that some people use to store their knives are pelican cases. Ive been having problems with corrosion on my knives due to my being less than a mile in every direction from the ocean. Even with regular cleaning, oiling, and using desiccants nothing seems to help. My question is, do you think that storing my collection in a pelican case with desiccants will help due to it being air tight?

Thanks for the help

I own the Pelican Case 1550 but I don't live near water however with the silica gels in there and no moister when you close it should work great because of the air tight seal.

That's what I do with my guns.

Pelican case + silica + Eezox (fluid film, Corrosion X HD or Johnson's paste wax will work too)

And you have a winning combination that can't be beat.

Get the orange indicating desicant in the metal container when it turns green you throw it in the oven for 2 hours at 280 degrees and your good to go. I use 2 of those in a small 8 gallon rubber made action packer and no problems. I live in south Louisiana not far from gulf with lots of heat and even more humidity no problems. I would suggest avoiding bead blast finish as they will literally rust in your pocket I've had it happen. Stick to decent stainless with satin or mirror finish and you'll be happy with less maintenance to boot . Good luck
