Pen instead of toothpick on Vic SAK?

I'm looking to add a Victorinox Spartan to my knife collection, but in my experience the toothpick on SAKs has been pretty much useless. Is there any way I could replace it with another tool, like the ball point pen found on some other models? And if so, does anyone know where I could find a black pen instead of the regular blue? (I'm in the Navy, and only the commanding officer has the privilege of using a blue pen :grumpy: )

why not having both? if you replace the scale, there's one that contain pen slot.

What your looking for are "Plus-Scales" the pen slot is bigger then the toothpick slot and they are molded into the scales
(especially in the newer ones, older were solid).
