Pen knife, a slender presence in the pocket

While jack knives and stockmen are still my favorite patterns, I do have a handful of pen knives that I enjoy.

The main reason I enjoy these knives is their slender profile.

What are some of your favorite slender pocket companions?

I like slender knives, too. I like my Buck 55, cheetah cubs, douk douk, and old SAK alox Officer a lot. Width is a big thing with me. And weight. Not me. My knives. ;) I have a lot of slim knives, but those are the ones that have been getting the most play.

My favorite pen knife is a larger Case:

Same size as the yeller ones I believe. But for work I have a bunch I've yet to take pics of, including my tiny Boker pen (2.75") in rosewood, a same size Bulldog in black pearl, a small Case in yellow/black bone, and my new favorite, a Camillus Scout leaders' pen knife with jigged delrin.

I've been admiring that sleeveboard pen of yours ever since I started reading this forum. Now that I see it next to the Case yeller pen (my favorite of my pen knives) I think it might actually be too skinny.

It sometimes occurs to me to be grateful Case only offers their pen knife in yellow,. If it came in half a dozen different kinds of bone and stag and sparkulon and such I'd be in trouble.

I love a nice slender pen knife for the office, which is sadly where I spend most of my time. Today I'm carrying a relatively wide (for me) Schrade 34OT, though -- in training for the peanut I've got on order ;)

It is quite thin, but that makes it ideal for carry in suit pants that are too tight fitting for most other pocket knives.

One thing I really like about the new bone handles on the Schrade 708Y (second down from the top), is how they widened the knife from its original format factor, which actually makes it more useful.

Edited to say, I'm right there with you on the Case pen. It is easily my favorite of the four.

The Case pen vies with the mini-copperhead, depending on my mood. I can have the patina on my Pen or the nice bone on the mini copperhead, but alas, never both at the same time. :)

The Companion got carried a bit, this week too -- its thicker, like your Schrade, and a bit squarish in the pocket, but I love a black-handled Buck. My Schrade, OTOH, has mechanical issues (jams shut, really bad blade rub) and the tiny Lancer...hardly ever gets carried, poor thing. There's unobtrusive in the pocket, and then there's feeling like you've got nothing to hold on to, you know?

But tomorrow, definitely the yeller pen. I've only had it a few months, but it's quickly becoming my 'old faithful'.
