Got the Pen Knife. I've been wanting one in this size, and I'm a wood guy, so the walnut handle is a real plus for me.

My karma must be good today, as I just planted a tree this morning. Still shoveling soil around it. If I ever need to prune it, I'll use the Pen Knife, since the tree and knife are now siblings.

Grats on that beauty Dave. I missed one again, oh well next time. Enjoy it my friend.

Wow! I'm gonna make an appointment for an ahlzeimers test. I saw this thread and it didn't compute that it was TODAY! I thought it was old..................

That's a beauty of a Pen Knife and a fine Mini Ak too.

Guess I better focus more on what day it is, stay current ya know.

Awesome knifes! I also like walnut.

Just a quick question. What makes a knife a pen knife?
Until now I would have thought pen knifes are very small blades hidden in pens.
Wiki describes pen knifes a bit different than that but then it also wouldn't include Kukris I think.
Just want to know what pen knife refers to when dealing with Kukris so that I don't buy anything wrong in the future.
Thank you.

It's one of my favorite HI knives. I would not hesitate to get one. You'll love it. It's a right handy knife for all sorts of stuff.

Super camp knife. The wood on this one listed makes me cry. I'm a wood guy too.

I just received the walnut-handled Pen Knife. As Yangdu said, the walnut handle is a stunning beauty, and very comfortable in the hand. I'm happy to get this in a 15" length, and the weight (18 oz) is good. It's hefty enough to do most tasks, but light enough to use all day if necessary.

In some ways it seems to me like a smaller cousin of the WWII model.

One thing about this particular blade that doesn't show up in the photos is that the spine has a slight upward curve in the area between the bolster and the bend. I noticed it when holding the knife and confirmed by laying the spine on a flat surface. I like that curve because it makes the blade seem more alive.
