A Pen knife is tied with a 12in AK, in my opinion, for the most utilitarian blade shape and size for woodswalking. Good length, weight, utilitarian, and non-threatening.

It was designed by Pendative (? Pendentive?), who at the time worked as an architect in the Washington,D.C., area, and who sent a wood model around to a dozen or so of the forumites around the country, before it went to Uncle Bill and then off to Bura and company.

Collectors may have a hard time just looking at it, rather than putting it to use in the field.

Even used my for flipping flapjacks once when I heard it had been done before. Worked great. Most utilitarian for sure.

Yeah, the "flipping" feature was one of the main design goals that Pendentive had for this knife. Seems to have worked out.
