"Pen" knives of different size ?

Does the "Pen" Knife come in different sizes?
I am wondering if a 12 inch blade with a 18 inch OAL would be a fine addition to my tools.
I know that special orders are down atm, so if these were ever made that way already I would love to see one. If not maybe I can place a special order.
 
Hi ST, welcome to the HI Forum, and BF in general! I don't recall seeing any 18 inch PK models, but it could be done via special order. However, I believe things are not going so well at the moment in Nepal, and all special orders have been postponed at the moment. Is there a reason you were specifically after the Pen Knife?
 
I really like the geometry of the blade ( that's a fancy way of saying that I think it looks cool and will work well for my needs )

I have been trying to find a strong balance between good weight for chopping but light enough to use for a long time and also a bend in the blade that is effective but suits my slightly more traditional skill set of knife use.
The belly on the "Pen" looks like it would make up for not having much bend in the blade and I think it would not be overly heavy but have enough heft and forward balance to strike well for clearing or proper wood cutting.
I could be wrong, as I am not a Kuk aficionado.

I have narrowed my search to HI and Tora, but not really sure exactly what I need/want and if what I want is not in fact what I need ..lol.

The pen knife is most often produced in the 12" size, but we have seen quite a few 15" ers and even a couple of them near 18" at times although they are few and far between. I wish I knew who got that one so I could ask them how they liked it.
Thank you very much Karda, now at least I know it was done at some point, so worse comes to worse I can order one custom but maybe catch a lucky dotd ..lol Awesome.!

If you look at the post, a guy named Gun Snob looks to have sent the first email on it; there's a good chance he got it. Also, reading the post, it looks like 17" 12oz may have been a typo (may have been 12", 17oz).
 
as i recall, Dan Koster designed the pen knife, and it's a wonderful thing.

later, his WSK variant is essentially a pen knife, with all the groovy WSK features :)

very heavy centric chopper. good stuff these pen knives.

i had an 18 incher once. quite impressive.
