What ballpoint pen refills would you recommend other than Fisher?

I like the Space pen refills but my wife goes through them really quickly and I have noticed over time they seem to want to leak. I send them back but this is still kinda a pain.

Was looking for something with good flow, hopefully less than $4.

Thanks,

Clay

Not sure whether you mean refills that fit on a Fisher pen, but in my opinion, Cross and Parker pens write and work much better for me than Fisher.

I don't know how well they work but I think Yafa ( www.yafa.com ) sells refills that fit Fisher and for others as well.

I much prefer Lamy and Rotring to those Fisher refills. Lamy makes a great refill that fits a large variety of pens.

So, how do those rate compared to fisher refills as far as writing on strange surfaces, in the wet, cold and snow, upside down etc?

I do a lot of field work on drill rigs and skiing. The fishers are dependable, but not elegant.....

i carry a fisher space pen that is the bullet shaped one in my pocket as a backup....i have foud the space pen refills made by EVERSHARP are better than the ones fisher provides and you get two eversharp refills for less than the price of one fisher refill....office depot carries these and they come in packs of 2 for something like 2.50 or 3 bucks

i have tested them in extreme heat and cold and they work fine....they write well upside down and when wet and over oil...just havent been able to do that space/vaccuum/negative pressure test yet

hope this helps and saves you some $$$$......feverdoc
