Pen Tool!

Joe,
I looked at those at a knife show a few years ago. I can't remember what the seller wanted but it was less than the $30 mentioned on that site. I thought they were pretty cool, but I doubted that I would get a lot of use out of it. The pen part would run out of ink really quickly so it would just be for emergencies. Some of the tools seemed useful, and others just too small. They did seem well made. I don't remember the ones I looked at having the tweezers or fork. I'm really not sure why anyone would need the fork!

Basically I didn't buy one because I thought I would never use it once the gadget appeal wore off. I could see where some people would use one a lot, especially if they had a job that required occasional maintenance of small mechanisms, or wiring. Who knows I may buy one next week though!

Every catalog I've seen them in wanted $19.95. I can't imagine hunting around for those little tools, and I agree the pen itself is a joke.

My future father-in-law bought me one a while back. Not bad, for a cheap little tool, though no Leatherman quality either. You have to unscrew parts to get to the other parts. I keep it here on my desk with a little knife blade in it and use it whenever I need an X-acto type knife. Infact, I like it better than most exacto knives due to the fact it is a little heavier.

In short, it is a neat trinket, but not a replacement for a Leatherman or SAK.Neat idea though.
