Hello all,
I'm in my research stage for custom made knives.
I am only interested in newer Pennsylvania knifemaker's.
What I mean by newer is not jurnymen or mastersmith's.
If it's not to much trouble I would like to get a list of you all and maybe a pic of your idea of a fixed blade trout knife. A link to your homepage would be fine.
NO i'm not wealthy but I may be looking to buy in a month or so.
as far as price's go I have been looking at David Winston's and Wendell's knives ,although not Pa. maker's, their quility and price's are in my ball park.
I would rather keep the money in my home state if posible. Also I am considering starting a collection of only Pa. knifemaker's creation's.

Don't worry Mr. Winston and Mr. Windell , there will be room enough in my collection for your fine work also.

I wish you all well in life's pursuit's.

There may be some guys near you. Try emailing th eJones Brothers. I think that there in Va. but may know some guys up your way.

What steel were you thinking for the bird and trout?
I only us 0-1 at the moment. I prefer Carbon Steels over stainless. Also The Graham boys do a nice job in stainless. I think there near you....

There you go....one of the good guys :D

Yep, we're PA folk. Actually, PA has alot of great knifemakers both new and those that have been around awhile. We're on the opposite corner of the state, otherwise I'd tell you to come on over (your still of course welcome to visit if you find your self in the are). Our web site is linked below, if there's nothing there you like, I'd be happy to put you in contact with several other Fine PA makers. Just let me know.

Thanks guys.

Check out Andrew Demko, he is in New Castle, Pa. Andrew has some great ideas, his phone # is 724-658-2777
