DOes anyone here have any positive or negative feedback on this knife? and any comparisons are welcome. thanks! Im interested mainly because of the lock and blade length.

I've had my PE II for around 9 years now. It's a good blade and the lockup is solid. It's not the most Utilitarian design but it will work. It's more of a Self Defense/combat styled blade. The Spec-Elite II is a bit more Utilitarian in design.

Used to use the PE II A bunch the first few years that I had it. Used it to cut cordage, make meals and the like. It never let me down. These days, it's my take to the City knife. Though I do occasionally carry it for fun. I live in a small rural area, unless I'm going into a government building, I can carry a fixed blade, so I normally do.

cool thanks for the reply! i like the size of this thing, and the lock, still considering it,

They are good sturdy knives. Way back when, they were frame locks, then they were upgraded to the Arc Lock. Mine is one of the early AUS8 Arc Lock models. Still going strong. I don't use the pocket clip, mine is carried in a custom leather belt pouch or in a jacket pocket.

Back in College, other students in my College church group got a kick out of me using the PE-II for kitchen duty on activites. Someone forgot the ladel to stir the punch they brought, so I'd whip out the PE-II and stir it up. Or cutting fruits and veggies and meat, we'd sometimes need a sharp knife so the PE-II was out again. Good times! :)

Its a good knife. A bit silly big, but the lockup on mine was always great. only negative that I can think of, some might consider it "double edged" because of the shark-tooth, and that many be a legal consideration.
