Bonjour Ron,

I have a Pentagon II and I noticed that most screws get lose fairly often. I have had to tighten the ones fitted for the Allen wrench once every month but my main problem is with the regular screw that release the blade. I have to tighten it almost every week. Is this a common problem?

PS: I carry thhis knife with me all the time in my back pocket! I love the design!
 
Hi Pierre,
You might try some Loctite(sp?) It it used to "lock" in screws so they will never come out. Spyderco recomends it.

Yes, LocTite would be an excellent choice. If you continue having problems, we'll take a look at the knife for you.
 
I believe you want the blue one, not red...
To be confusing the blue comes in a red tube, but is removeable with hand tools, red (if I remember correctly) is "permanent"...
 
Thanks to all for your help and for your offer, Ron, but I could not live a day without my P II! I hope that my posting did not infere that SOG knives are sub-standards because they are not. I owne the PII and an SOG Access Card that I use as a money clip (love the little screwdriver since I wear glasses).In fact, I found the Access Card so useful that I bought one for everyone of my staff as a Xmas present!
