Ok, heres the deal. I have questions and hopefully someone has answers.:)
When I first saw the pic listed here
pepper%20shaker%20with%20dc%20finish.jpg

I thought that this is what all the pepper shakers were going to look like. Then after some reading I realized that this one was specific to Blue Jays(awesome knife). So then after more reading, this is what I came up with. Pepper shaker is 3/16" hollow ground with Busse armor Tip and they are ground completly by Jerry Busse.Price is $269 Is this information correct? If not then could someone please post the correct info? Also, what is the finish type on the "regular" pepper shakers and what type of sheath is included(if any)? I am trying to decide if I want one of these(definately wanted Blue Jays:eek: ) or if I should go with the regular Assault shaker and apply the difference to another Busse purchase. Either way I guess my money is going to Ohio:( I wonder what it is that makes these Busse knives so addictive? Anyways thanks for any info.

3/16 is standard I think Bluejay special ordered 1/4 but all your other info seems correct.

I think you also had your choice of Coated or Double Cut finish.

Maybe Marc will come along soon and clarify for us.

Marc is also the one you can email with specific questions about Custom Shop Knifes.
Look for a post by "Contender" and hit email :)

Here's some more info from the other Pepper thread...

Dark Nemesis and Andrew, the arrangements for the 1/4" INFI and double-cut/beadblasted finish on my Pepper Shaker (PS) were made through Contender (Marc Fratello) at the time the knife was ordered in the early part of 2002. Traditionally, the PS is done in 3/16" stock. If you need them, I have Marc's numbers written in my calendar at work and can edit this post on Monday if requested.

Because it is such a small knife, it is tough to "hold onto" at the grinding wheel. That's the reason that Jerry can't crank these out in huge numbers. Per his earlier post, my lil' Shaker apparently had a temper tantrum and turned around and took a chomp out of Jerry's left index finger. Well, at least I know this PS is feisty!

Hope that helps,

~ Blue Jays ~

AM4, here also is from the original offering post: (read this in Eric's voice...)

I believe the Specs are the same as the regular Assault Shaker, however since it is a variant it has a few new features. It appears to have the BAT(Busse Armor piercing Tip), Ground Top edge, and of course the Satin Finish.
Here are the specs of the Regular AS. Blade length 2.5", Overall length 5.5", Weight 3 oz., Thickness .25", with a 58-60 Rc, made of INFI

Hope this helps.

Here is a post brought up a few days ago by Jerry. It has a lot of info one these pups.
