I was looking at my X ray today, and noticed that there were brown little spots all over it. How do I get it off, and how do I prevent it from coming back?

Thanks.

Sometimes the bead blast finish will do this (rust) if you don't keep a light coat of oil on it.

My X-Ray has ATS-34 steel and it has never done this........but it probably would if I did not occasionally add a drop of oil and work it in with my fingers.

Contact SOG and see what they say.......

here is some information on caring for you knife, that may help with the spots on your blade.

· After becoming dirty or after exposure to salt water, perspiration, or chemicals, rinse the product with fresh water and dry completely. Use a high-quality petroleum-based lubricant or anti-rusting agent on all metal surfaces.

· While it is not in use, keep the blade stored in a dry area outside of the sheath to help prevent rust.

· Should rust appear, use a light steel wool pad (000 grit) to buff off rust, then reapply anti-rusting agent.
