Percussion cap pistol kits?

I'm sure there are some other folks around here who are interested in historical firearms... And maybe who also like to tinker with stuff. So, does anyone have experience with the percussion cap pistol kits that are on the market today? I'm looking at a couple small single-shot kits, like the Pedersoli screw barrel or the "New Orleans Ace," and there's a two shot "Twister" kit that also looks interesting.

Have any of you folks built any of these, or something similar? Have experiences to share, good or bad? Pics of your completed work?
They look like the makings of a fun project. :D

I built the Ace from a kit when I was stationed in Michigan in 1976.
Still have it, never fired it. :)
Dunno about now, but the hammer was basically raw & only a semi-finished casting. I didn't bother to clean it up externally, had to send it out to be heat treated. Had to cold blue it.
If you're looking at that kit, confirm with the seller on the hammer finish & if it's already heat treated in current kits.

Most of the kits I have seen in recent years only require wood and metal finishing, no real fitting of components or heat treating. Pedersoli make some great kits. I built their Walker revolver and 1851 Colt Sheriff some years ago and they came perfectly timed. Check Dixie Gun Works in Union CIty Tennessee. They usually have a good variety and can tell you how much fitting and finishing is required.

Pedersoli muzzleloader kits are manufactured by Ardesa in Spain.
In U.S. you can find them sold by Traditions. that is who imports the products Ardesa

Great info, thanks folks.
Now, I have another question... I'm really intrigued by the two-shot Twister kit, made by Classic Arms.
Does Classic Arms make good quality kits, or would I be better off going with the Spanish Pedersoli if I'm after a higher quality?

Thanks again,
Alex
