Perfect Getaway with Mrs Pit.

Just got back from a perfect getaway with Mrs Pit, no kid,no dogs,no tv, no internet just peace and quiet !

We went for a little walk on the first evening and after watching a Seal fighting the waves we noticed a family of sea otters:

Another example of why Mrs Pit is the best wife ever, she suprised me on the first night with a Blind Horse Knives Necker that she bought ages ago and had saved to give me on this trip:

I used my Booshway lots during this break. I used it to gather resin( shown below), gather fatwood, make fuzz sticks, lift the tea bags outta my army canteen. The one task that suprised me the most was when Mrs Pit had bought along some pre packaged deli subs and asked me to cut them in half, I thought such a heavy duty knife might struggle but the darn thing went straight through the subs and also the packaging and into the bench we were sat on !!! Man this thing slices !!!

my wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary, with our first weekend getaway.. it was lovely..

Cheers Mike, it's my first BHK Knife and I'm real impressed with the fit and finish. It was hair popping sharp straight outta the box and although ya can't even tell when it's around your neck it still feels like a real usable size !:thumbup:
 
Great pics Pit. I love a nice view when sitting in a hot tub. (Trips to TN we had a cabin and a very nice view)
 
Great pics. The only time I can get my wife in her hiking boots is to get on a horse, but those are great times to. Love the knives. :thumbup:
 
They were very comfortable diving for fish in the sea. So I guess Maisie is a sea otter? I just thought sea otters were seldom on land.
