I value the opions of this forum a great deal. Thats why i would like to hear what yall think would make the perfect hawk. I need to know things like overall size and weight. Do yall prefer a 12inch haft or a 24 inch one. Do you need a 1 pound tool or a ten pound one. What style head would work best for you such as a hammer poll or a spike maybe a pipe who knows what is best for you. Would a 2inch primary edge work better than 3. The haft would be made of what wood like ash or oak maybe steel or an composite a combination of two. What i need is yall's prefence what would work best for you . thank you for your time

I'm new to 'hawks as well, so I'm interested to see what shakes out here when everyone chimes in.

I'm still waiting on delivery of my first two hawks, one CS Trail Hawk and a Camp Hawk from Fort Turner. I'm really looking forward to taking both of these to the field and putting them through their paces.

I think this forum has got some kind of subliminal suggestion-type thing going on under the radar, because I have this crazy desire to buy up all the hawks I see these days. Unfortunately, my wife would probably pop my skull open with one of them if I emptied out the account on custom tomahawks.

In the event that she does, I will tell her to get pics, so that you guys can see real-life field testing on a live subject. :D

The perfect Hawk would be like a perfect woman, There isnt one...everyone likes something different. Right now my go to, beat up hawk, I use the most are the VTAC's.

I have to agree with Dusty One,there is no perfect hawk, perhap's the most versatile of all would be the Poll Hammer.Weight being a factor should always be considered
