Was able to spend a few hours playing in my own little slice of wilderness

It's a great area to just relax by the water and carve stuff

Weather was perfect

Found some shale that I could fracture into really sharp cutting edges

Found a couple fossils too

Even found some useful trash

Had along my new Sugar Creek Bushcrafter (did a quick review here http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...Knife-Works-Bushcrafter-quick-hike-and-review)

Looks like perfect weather! I love the worn rocks in that creek. I always like finding fossils and then pondering the life they lived. At least the trash you found was useful...lately i've carried out all kinds of crap from the woods. I like the looks of that knife, looks like it would be comfortable in use.

Sweet. Weather was good here, too. Started warming up again today, but yesterday through this morning were great. Low 40s last night where I was at, and I spent what was probably my most comfortable night outdoors ever.
Love the pics of your mini slot canyon!

I'm not looking forward to summer, so I'm trying to take advantage of these somewhat cooler days. Any day now it will jump up into the 90's and stay that way through October

great stuff T.. looks like a cool spot to chill.. you and the misses should try and head north over here, one of these days..:D
