I say perfect because well it is a Sebenza and, more importantly, my wife bought it for me.

My wife and I were out to lunch the other day and started talking about my knives. She said that she wanted to buy a knife for me. So I jokingly showed her a large Sebenza with micarta inlays and ladder damascus blade. Her initial response was "That's pretty, how much?". When I told her she said that not to bad. We talked for a few more minutes about it and next thing I know she is asking me if she should get priority shipping or just regular!

The knife showed up in the mail yesterday and is absolutely perfect. I can honestly say without a doubt that I will have this knife forever. I am a lucky guy, she treats me well.

You will have to excuse my lack of photography skills. These pictures don't do the knife any justice at all.

Dang! That's a keeper! The wife, the knife as well...congratulations, that's a beauty indeed, the first Damascus I see with blasted scales and micarta, very cool.
 
Man, that is a wonderful present especially fro your wife... Congratulations!

Now, if I on the other hand would start talking about knives.. my wife would roll her eyes and say that it's all I could talk about and spend most of my time at home cleaning and playing with them... lol.

I clean about twice a month by the way... so yeah...
 
Yes, she is definitely a keeper (my wife and the knife). She surprised the heck out of me that's for sure. The damascus on this one is superb. It just flows with the blasted scales.

Excellent! Just showed this to my wife, i'll let you know if it takes. She said "I'd never buy you a knife" i said she couldn't go wrong with any CRK.
 
Congrats. I am happy to hear your wife is supportive of your interest. I know all too well the emotional attachment that comes with something special like that. I have one, no matter what comes, will never be sold.

Good luck! She totally surprised me with this one. She has never really showed much of an interest in my knives. So when she bought that Damascus CRK I was totally shocked.
You are right though. Can't go wrong with any CRK.

Thanks! This is definitely my most precious knife. Lots of sentimental value with this one.

You see, sometimes they do listen:D, I'm sure you'll want to return the thought when the time is right, for she is truly in love with you. :thumbup:
