hello guys,

i really like the design of this collab but never been too crazy about brown G-10.
so, i was on YT checking the updates of my subscribed channels and found this:

i know it voids warranty, bla, bla bla...this knife looks AMAZING!!!
i'll probably buy me a Spyderco flipper regardless of my lack of love for brown but man i wish it came that way from the factory!
just thought i should share this:)

Nice. I've been seriously considering sending him my Southard for a pimp job. Probably some bright color of G-10 with some nice scalloping.

to be honest, not my cup of tea. I've never been drawn to both sides being titanium. I much prefer an inlay or a g10 side for texture. DLC that blade, blue standoffs, and a black g10 would make it pretty cool, IMO. I'll probably be doing that to mine soon.

Doesn't, close but not quite. About 3.5" to 3.7" blade depending on where you measure from, 3.65" cutting edge (it is up-swept). You could not get a longer blade with this handle, the tip almost pokes out the end when closed.

How is it that his has a 4in blade?

He likely just misspoke.

I really like what he's done with the Southard. I guess I need to get in touch with this guy to order some scales. I assume that if you just wanted the scale and over-travel disc, you wouldn't need to send your knife in.

agreed. And honestly I dont see any gains to be had from adding that ti scale except for looks and thinning your wallet. The Ti liner spyderco uses is plenty thick. Hell some knives that are known for being tough as hell such as striders dont even have metal on the scale side. Im all about a good pimp job as I do plenty of them myself. I just dont particularly care for that one.

I think that looks excellent. The ti and the anodizing definitely class the knife up a bit. I just can't wait until these knives become more readily available and we start seeing more and more pimp jobs.

what about this one?

i believe this will be one of the most "pimped" knives ever:D

I saw the vid, he makes epic stuff but I agree, we have the same taste for the Southard minus the DLC blade, keep that ish off my steel!

It looks nice.
However, I would want a stonewash liner with Blue G-10.

I like the second one with CF, looks very nice.

I've yet to get a Southard.
But I believe I would just want a different scale and lock stop.

It did occur to me just to sand down the G10 scale to provide a more polished look.
