Actually, two very different knives. The Mnandi falls squarely into the gentleman's folder category.
The small Insingo, on the other hand, I'd have to call a very handsome tool knife.
Let's face it, at this price point, and this level of fit and finish, they're both "gentlemen's" knives, but the gentleman can use the small Insingo for anything. The Mnandi for
almost anything.
The size of the Mnandi is the same as a Case trapper I carried for 30 years, and happily beat the **** out of. I know I won't be able to bring myself to use the Mnandi like that.
It's without a doubt sturdy enough to do the job; but I know it's going to feel too precious to beat on.
The small seb... well, I'm going to use it for everything, because that's why I bought it.
To answer a question you didn't ask: I'm glad I started out w/ a small (as opposed to large) seb. It really fills the bill for my everyday purposes. I may pick up a large some day just
because it's there. But as far as needing it... no. The small seb is fine, and perfectly sized for true EDC.
Here's some Q&D snaps. (They
appear closer in size than they feel in the hand; or in the pocket.)
