Even though I live here and get out often , I'm still in awe of how green everything is, especially at this time of the year !

I had a refresher on the Wishbone trigger squirrel trap ! With traps location is everything and it was obvious that this tree stump was the regular dining area for one squirrel...perfect place for a trap.

Check out the size of my knife to this tree, there are some huge ones in this park !

Nice stuff Pit. I would agree with you about hanging around that last spot. Looks like a little piece of paradise.
 
For those that have never been to an old growth forest, it should be on your bucket list. Just the smell alone is worth it. It's a very earthy smell. Probably my favorite smell, next to pitchwood. ;) Thanks for the pics Pit. I need to get out this weekend. :D
 
As usual, you made me wish I were there.

Interesting trap. Is the tension being held by the branch above it being bent down?

I had to search the web for info on how that trap was triggered as I couldn't work it out....

...happened across this vid starring two very familiar looking hounds....
