What are the key performance differences between Micarta and G-10, in:

-Weight - Micarta lighter
-Grip when dry
-Grip when wet
-Durability (surface scratches and cracking)
-Any other characteristics

-Grip when dry - Depends more who finished it than on the base material
-Grip when wet - ditto
-Durability (surface scratches and cracking) - Ditto

OK, let's say a quality manufacturer like Bark River for example, and a Linen Micarta versus a smooth G-10.

Not sure if they have G-10 with a non-smooth texture.

How would they compare?

You'll have to find someone who has barkies with both types of handles, though I don't think I remember seeing a barkie with a G10 handle.

I'm just a materials engineer commenting on two materials.

There's another active thread comparing BRKT's handle materials that might be interesting to you, "Are Bark River canvas micarta scales textured or polished?". It's on the next page back. I have a G10 Little DPH and a green/black linen micarta Woodland Special. I've carried and used both and both of them feel pretty similar to me.

They tend to be somewhat cool and smooth (no texture to the finish that I can feel), but not really slippery. I haven't noticed much change with them when my hands were damp. Some micarta gets really grippy when wet, but these haven't changed much, wet or dry.

I haven't dropped them or used them enough to beat the handles up so I can't tell you about scratch or impact resistance. I can tell you that I much prefer the scalloped handles on the Little DPH to the straight handles on the Woodland Special. The lack of texture & grippy feeling doesn't matter as much on the Little DPH because of the scale contours.
