I must say produce a knife or assemble the knife has to coming from heart!
That makes world of difference.
Imagine u were chinese worker. Got pay 10 dollar a day to assemble knives in a factory. U work like a dog, not because u love to assemble knife that might be a potential qaulity product. U do it because u hv to....because poor living, kids to feed. U wake up early in the morning, that u hate so much, but there is no other option for living. when u assemble knives u think those are stupid stuff, that u rather not do it. So what do u do? U do shit job to past time then u can go home.
It is just like parents force u to go school! u hate the system, hate the school. u do it cuz u hv to, to society system tells you to, u r in school to past time not for learning. So, what do u do? u careless about grade, did a mess, making trouble. Some times just do something silly that you think would be funny if one finds out. Just want to get f**k out of school.
Psychologicaly, it is not hard to figuer that why the quality isn't always up to standard.
As American production. Seriously, u don't love knife, u won't work in knife industry. Worker actually hv a choice! There is a lot more work opportunity, options able to choose what one love to do. Look at those quality knife company. Its hard to ignore their passion, their love to knife they are creating. The attitude is totally different, then the result is different.
American knife industry is greatful with passionate ppl on top, but all American work with the same spirit! Look at most ppl work in DMV, postal office, look at ppl in supermarket near you. When u look at their face, you can tell they hate their job and they did sh*t job while they are doing them.
Adults hv those neg. attitude towards a job they hate, can you imagine Chinese actually use kids from poor family to work in factory? They are kids, they know nothing, your bad product might be their silly jokes pass through quality control when they got bored.
Its easy for us to say, yeah, if they hate the job, why don't they quit and find another. But our life isn't as crappy as theirs.
Maybe next time you open a foreign product that is so bad, instead of angry at foreign production sucks, you should give a smile and prey for them. Prey them for a better life, pity them as human being instead of chinese, thai, whatever. Hope for their best, wish them luck.
