This one has an aged 1095 clip point blade and a nicely colored and oddly shape solid mammoth ivory handle, 7"OAL. Patterned copper band and rawhide wraps, and a wrought iron butt capp round it out. Sheath is rawhide over vwg-tan with deerskin fringe, copper tacks, aged tin cones, horsehair, and antique trade beads. All comments welcome!:D

Very nice little knife John. You are really getting that "distress look" down on your sheaths.

Very attractive package. That's a gorgeous hunk of mammoth put to good use.

Since this is a "period piece", do you have any photos of originals/antiques you drew inspiration from?

Thanks a lot guys, I'm glad you like it!! I forgot to mention, but it also has a touch of filework. As far as "historical inspiration", this is merely my interpertation of what maybe could have been " back in the day". Maybe "frontier style" would have been a better choice of words for a description:D
