Where could one purchase a small amount, or similar epoxy?
My son gave me a beautiful early, Plumb Anchor Brand hewing hatchet with original haft in exquisite condition!
The only problem with the haft was it at one point had a removable wedge system that was replaced by metal wedges that destroyed about 1" of it. I trimmed the old wood off and rehung it, setting it as low on the small shoulder as I could, but it still likes 1/2 inch or so coming through the eye. As I plan on sharpening and using this beautiful old piece, I need a way of finishing it off, and what would be more fitting than Permabond on a Plumb hatchet.
