A local gunshop had both on the shelf when I went in today. I must say I am impressed with both. The Perrin is very well done. The handle is very comfortable, and the blade very well polished, ground and sharp. Sheath is very well done kydex with what appears to be a small teklok. Does anyone know if a small teklok will fit on a extra thick 1.5 inch wide gun belt. I think the width was ok, but not the extra thickness. So I might be outluck with that belt. But there are lots of eyelet holes on the sheath to make yourself a paracord belt loop. Also could I replace that small teklok with a large one? Does anyone know if the holes would be the same? They were trying to get 110.00 dollars for it, I see knifecenter.com is 95.00 and they are never the low cost leader. Its going to be a great knife for carry and a host of utility uses.

The Salsa, is really nice, but was a little stiff, opening and closing. But it already started to smooth out after just a few open and close cycles.
I like the cobra hood, the lock seems strong and hard to close by accident. Blade is about 2.5 inchs. So you can have a big knife handle on a small blade for where there are severe limits on knives. I like the concept.

They also had the new Lum fixed blade, and if you are a Lum Fan, I think you will like it. Fit and finish is certainly impeccable. I dont care for the sheath, but kydedx would have scratched up that blade finish over time. Will be interesting to see if the price comes down over time. But if you like Lum knives, its a must have. -mike

Mike,

The mini TekLok fits a 1.5" belt and should work with your double thickness gun belt. The holes for the mini are in .5" increments and the regular TekLok increment is .75".
