Just want to warn people that may be looking to purchase a Perrin Griffe from Couteaux Corty.
The price seems very good - as in most cases - too good to be true.
I (ass/u/me)ed that the picture that they show on their web page is what you get: http://www.picturetrail.com/johnss - Perrin album.

First picture is from their website. Others are what I got.
I think that their picture shows file work of some type over finger hole. Mine has none at all. I had seen many shots of his griffes - Blade Art and Laci Szabo sites and all had at least some file work.
If you want the file work pay the price and buy from one of them. I wish I had!! Live and learn.
Also couldn't believe how incredibly dull the edge was. Guess its his economy edition.

I have ordered three knives from them. I have never had this problem. Although an email response usually takes a couple of days, they are a very reputable dealer. Just complain and they should either replace it or give you a refund.

I don't think its worth the hassle.
The shipping charge alone was close to $20.
I think I should have got what I think the picture shows.
I didn't.
I just want to let others know, before they buy.
I searched the forums - couldn't find much info about them.
In the future I'll stick with the those that are highly recommended here.

Not that I want to defend anybody in special, but just 2 remarks :
1. Couteaux Courty is quite a nice little knife shop in Paris (be it expensive on US knives ; better bring along VISA, Mastercard AND Diners ... ;) )
2. Perrin's are handmade knives and they differ quite a lot from knife to knife (and I mean A LOT). Best is to have the shop send a picture of a specific knife, if you really really want it just as pictured. For a reasonably standard piece the shop cannot change pictures knife-per-knife I guess.
