So I got this off the for sale forum. This knife is awesome I don't see why it gets no attention. Besides the whole right handed only which I am right handed so I don't care and the spydie hole is alittle hard to get to. It's a great knife. I know it's been out for a long time I'm just saying lol.

In my collection of 30+ spydies, I would rank the PPT as one of my top three favourites. The other two being the Para2 and Military. I was saddened to see that it was discontinued for 2013 cause it really is a great all round knife, unless you are left handed of course.

I love my PPT!

Clip orientation aside, you can flick it open left-handed pretty easily using the middle finger. Disengaging the lock with the left hand just takes a little getting used to, as with any right-handed framelock.

Many people find the PPT's weight to be too heavy for the length of the cutting edge offered. I used to edc a PPT until the steel lock side rusted badly...

The heft is there with this one.
I was thinking about this the other day...

The thing is, this weight gives the feeling of something substantial. Something solid in a tight neat package.
Carry in the pocket may be noticed (by feel-- otherwise the deep clip is wonderful), but in the hand it works for the knife I think.

After acquiring one within the last month, I was shocked that I had not done so sooner.

I suspect the PPT suffers from its odd looks. Love the knife and carry it often, but only bought it because I had the opportunity to have it in my hand before buying. Underrated knife, IMHO.

It's a great knife.
If I were to change one thing in its execution (besides a wide choice of scale materials), I'd mill the inner part of the backspacer to match the cutouts in the skeletonized liner. Slight decrease in weight with no solidity penalty and much much easier to clean.

I was on the fence with the PPT. It is similar in size to the N5. After much fondling I went with the N5. Now that the PPT is discontinued, I might have to get one soon!

After handling both knives, I took the Yojimbo2 instead of the PPT. Poor guy never stood a chance... But when the price eventually came down, I went for it. Honestly, at a lower price point (still in stock at 1 retailer last I knew) you can't pass it up. Now's the time!
