Seems alot of us are quite enamored with the Perrin, but the biggest complaint is the factory sheath that comes with it, and retention. for those of us sticking with the factory sheath due to whatever reasons, I've come up with a fairly quick fix that's workin' real well thus far, for the retention issues...

So, here be what I done...

I took about .50 cents worth of very small diameter shock cord, wrapped it in about four loops of common whipping (ie: Microtech and Chris Reeve lanyard wrap) around the top sheath hole on the spine side of the sheath. When the knife is in the sheath it slips fairly darn tightly around the choil and holds it plenty snug and secure. When drawing the knife all ya' gotta do is grabl the common whipping, pull it down over the sheath, an' voila! zee knife is instantly available. Seems to work pretty good when goin' for lil' day hikes an' stompin' 'round the woods a bit.

Might be somethin' everyone else has already done, but thought it was worth mentioning just for shucks an' grins....
