The last I heard, the knifes were ready, but the sheaths were not. Any one have any more on this?

Thanks,

Kirk

Yeah, I would like to know too. Its been passed over as a possible purchase a couple times by me as its not out there yet, hence not a choice. After Christmas, my money will be gone so forget it then.

Yeah, I'd love to know when we'll see this.

and is there any idea of when the perrin neck knife will come out?

I've been neglecting the Spyderco section lately. Please fill Me in .What Perrin model is Spyderco making?thanks, tom.:o

Spyderco is making a 5" blade model of Perrin's street bowie, and we've also seen pics of a la-griffe like neck knife designed by fred and sal.

I'm a big fan of the La Griffe and if Spyderco makes one I'll buy it sight unseen! Thanks for the info.tom.

The Spyderco Perrin Street Bowie is a little sweetheart and should make a great knife for James A. Keating's Drawpoint method. A NY customer sent me one to dress up since he got it without a sheath while at the recent show there. I like it even though my taste in Bowies runs a lot larger. Handle is similar to the the Spyderco Moran series and great for a quick grab and manipulates well in grip transitions. can't wait to get one for myself.

What callahwj has linked above is the Griffe-type design, the Street Bowie has a conventional handle, with a 5" (I think) bowie-styled blade.

Don't think me obtuse, but does this mean we can get 'em now, without sheaths?

I doubt it. I expect the only reason why this person got one without a sheath (still suprising  ) was because he bought it directly from Spyderco's booth at the NYC Show. They won't be shipped to dealers without sheaths. In any event, the knives complete with sheaths should be out very soon

Just a pic i found:

Very nice :D

That neck knife is still one of the most awesome designs I have ever seen. If they are produced, I can't wait to get one to review on the site.

I've seen a Perrin folder at Couteaux Courty in Paris and they said something about Spyderco producing it in the near future. I should search for a picture ...
