i finished making this persian styled bowie last week. i have not tried to forge a knife in about 6 years, i have been doing all stock removal. i left the scale on it so it would be obvious :) . i had recently purchased a persian bowie by top notch maker kyle gahagan. he used it to pass his JS test. i was so impressed with it, i wanted to try to make something with a similar style and vibe. it has a 9 3/4" blade of 1095, 1/4" spine, scotchbrite machine finish, nickel guard & pin, black g10 spacer, curly maple handle. thanks for looking.

I really like that! Handsome knife.

I have a pattern I made a few years back that is similar, just a little shorter.

I called it, the Kyber Pass. Great working knife for everything from game to camp work at the kitchen. Is that Koa or really dark Maple? Looks great!
