I have this Persian model limited edition from Olamic Cutlery. The paperwork says it is 300-400 layer Damascus steel. Am i correct in assuming 300-400 is refering to the layers in the entire billet or forging (whatever the correct terminology is). It can't be that many layer in the knife can it?

Hello! The layer count refers to how many layers the billet will end up with after our standard amount of folds and twists. The actual layer count within the blade itself, after grinding, is unknown.
