Hi fellas,

thought I'd post this knife I finished recently. It's an 8" 1095 blade with a nice hamon. The handle is made of copper spacers, red fire coral, and black buffalo horn, and a whitetail deer legbone which has been bleached perfectly white and carved. Hope you like. All input welcome.

Dave

P.S. My camera died on me before I could more pictures. It's an old dinasaur. I need to get a new one.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for your comments. Yeah, it's has some nice sweeping lines. The handle fits the hand very nicely, and looks sharp, but, yes, it is different.

David,

I can see this for sale at the market in Marrakesh , Morocco. The Red city of the east. I always enjoy what you make. Never boring always thoughtful.

Thanks, Fred

I was pleased with this one, both the lines, materials and vivid hamon came out well. Appreciate your kind comments.

Greg, thank you very much. I appreciate it.

Thanks Mike, I appreciate your nice comments.

I took a look at your gallery. Wish I could draw like you. Have you thought of taking up scrimshawing? Seems you'd be a natural.

Melsdad,

I'm glad you like the knife and appreciate the fact you posted. I'm sorry, I forgot to get a shot of the filework, but it's a vine pattern which goes about 2/3's of the way down the blade. I'll have to take a couple of pictures to show the filework. Thanks for asking.

Dave
