Anyone have a chance to use the regular production version of the Persian folder? If so, opinions, pics? Have they hit dealer's yet? Will it come w/ the wave?

Just saw a small picture of it in the new Blade magazine and it looks sweet. First Emerson since the Commander was released that sparked my interest.
 
From what I understand the only production version of the Persion is the ECA knife of the year. (I am holder of #113) I spoke with Derek at EKI a few weeks back and he said that the regular production version should be out sometime late this Fall.....
 
The regular production Persians should be out before Christmas if I remember correctly.

There is also a Satin, Chisel ground Collectors version currently available.

The persian will not be offered in a waved version, but I will tell you that they may as well be. Something about the body profile and the thumb disk, but I can Wave one every time. :D

I am the holder of ECA Persian # 54

I tried desperately not to use this knife on my blade 'dummy', but to no avail. This blade is every inch a Fighter! It handles fast in the hand with great balance. The single grind is "wicked sharp" and sliced through multiple layers of denim and closed cell foam with ease!

After JH's post, I tried to wave it and was able to do so with a little practice. My pants took a beating, but it is possible. I only wish that I had ordered two. There is a strong possibility that I'm going to grab a production version when they come out to include in my EDC rotation and relegate this beauty to my knife case for safekeeping.

Opinion: Three thumbs up...a must buy! :)
