Fresh out of the shop. 4.5mm thick Damasteel blade with a double hollow grind. Fully tapered frame tang cut from ATS34. 416 stainless bolsters beautifully engraved by Danae Cresswell. Carbon fibre scales with domed handle pins and four 5mm diameter Garnet cabochons in stainless settings. OAL 12" X 6 3/4" blade. Very pleased with how it turned out, hope you all like it. Peter.

that's absolutely off the hook. Epitomizes 'fusion'.

well done again as is usual with your knives and something that I really like style wise. Is carbon fibre going to be the new Ivory?

Stunning!

I looked at those images for ten min. straight!

Wonderfull comments gentlemen, thanks very much for looking and posting.

"Fusion" is a very good description Lorien and my intention with this piece. You may well have named it, sounds good to me.

Ivory V carbon, will be interesting to see what happens down the line Murray. Stag will always be king, I think sheep horn, jig bone, and Giraffe bone will see a new resurgence. We have already seen the new interest and demand for the older phenolics. What will makers offer and what will buyers accept, I think that is the real question.

Beautiful, Peter. This shows that Carbon Fiber can be made beautiful with the right effort.

Gorgeous knife with smooth lines and creative use of materials. Somehow you've managed to make carbon fiber look like the perfect choice for a more traditional form. The deep hollow grind, arched bolsters, lovely engraving and garnets set it all off beautifully.
