Persian thoughts

I am somewhat new to EKI and have heard rumors of the Persian being discontinued......is this true? I know that they are currently very hard to find. Do you think EKI will produce another run at some point, or would your advise be to get one now if you can?

About 6 months ago I got on Emerson's back order list for the next run of Persians. It was to be available in October.
I obtained one of the first of this run and I have never been more satisfied and happy with a knife purchase.
I still carry my CQC15, but my EDC and new love is that elegant, sinister and surprisingly utilitarian upswept, needle-pointed blade.

I believe the persian is a good choice my favorite EKI blade thus far but letting you know now the blade is big so if you like carrying smaller knives 3inches or under this might not be your cup of tea
 
Thanks a bunch for the input. I just came across it really liked the lines. Just really starting to notice Emerson. Have a couple ZT models along with a couple Spydee models that got equal carrying time......until I got the Snubby. After having it a bit, I have fallen in love with it, as it has gone to my primary EDC. ZT is kinda bulky in the pocket while Spydee's are a bit too lean in my large hand......the EKI fits/feels perfect. Now I thought it would be good to expand, so I am going to try another to see if I have the same luck......then maybe another......and quite possibly another.

The Persian is a knife I have a bit of a problem with :o:p

I will end up typing a 10 page speal if I'm not carefull so I'll just post some pics instead :D

imho the coolest P-tacs are the ECA P-tacs with the ZBG blade and true satin finish, of course they only made ~ 120 or so of them and they are hard to find and expensive nowadays, but i sure like mine a lot,

the last one i saw IIRC was ~$400 or so, high $$ but they are semi custom and rarely seen.
 
Thanks for all of the notes.....and the photos. Satin would be really nice, but not in the market for paying quite that much for a user. I ended up ordering the black.....and they are even a b_t_h to locate. Now it's just a waiting game. Thanks again for the help,

I'm not surprised you went and one upped every other Persian proponent here, but now I'll just have to wipe the drool from my lips, slip my right hand to my pants pocket, flick my wrist and fondle my perfectly proportioned production Persian.
You are the King of Persians and I am an enthusiastic acolyte.
Oh, and let me know if you ever want to sell that beauty in the pictures. HAH!
