Persian - weight?

I'm thinking of getting a Persian, but I'm wondering about weight. When wearing shorts or sweats, is the weight of the thing clipped to my waistband or pocket going to be very noticable? I typically have either a Delica or Endura clipped there, and they're both so light I sometimes check to see if it fell off.

Does anyone who has one have an opinion?
 
i think it's "heavy" enough to be noticed. the bolster is stainles steel, so is the entire back of the handle cuz it's a lock back. so compared to other knives i'd say it's a bit heavy, for me. ymmv.
 
My personal feeling I wouldn't carry a Persian in shorts or sweats. Too heavy for my taste in that situation. Great knife though. Well built, sexy lines. Almost as nice as my Viele. Enjoy.
 
Thanks for the input. I think I'll probably get one anyway. If I like enough to carry it while wearing shorts or sweats, I'll get suspenders to hold up the elastic waistbands :D
 
Just don't wear elastic waists, then you can carry any knife you want :)

I have one and love it but I am not happy with the weight. Too heavy for small edc. I hope we will see Ti, G-10 or carbonfiber.
