Persian with Mustard

This is my Persian blade. #2 of the year (2010).
Specs- 1/8 thick 52100, differentially treated in salt pot.
Overall 10.75" Blade is 5 5/8" in a straight line from tip to choil.
WSSI stabilized spalted maple burl with SS loveless bolts and tubing.
Sheath by Maker, wet formed/hardened, dyed black
Blade is mustard etched in a raindrop pattern.

This sucker should slice! Here it is!

Beautiful work. I'm continually amazed at the talent present on this board. Congrats!
 
Great looking knife. The pattern from the etching really looks good with the burl handle. This is my first time seeing anything like the mustard etch forming a pattern like you made. I like it.
 
Michael Rader first did a pattern like that. He also does it much better than I do! I need to experiment a little to get the colors that he does. Check out some of his work and you will be amazed. Dan
