Ive always liked this knife but i havent been able to handle them yet. and as a result when it became knife buying time something else was always higher on the list. I do have some questions id appreciate if someone can answer though.

I have heard that they are discontinuing this knife........ and anyone confirm or deny this?

Why is it much less expensive then other emerson folders?

Does it have ss or titanium liners?

any info or opinons about the knife will be appreciate

thanks

It's a very cool knife, had the opportunity to examine one at a local guns show.

This Persian is a fighter meant to slip between ribs, slash flesh, do damage, it's a nice knife, it's very thin and sharp, as close to being a dagger as anything Emerson Knives has ever made.

In comparison the CQC-7 is more of a multipurpose utility knife good in many tasks and roles, as is the Commander.

It is no longer in the Emerson catalog and therefore we can assume it has been discontinued.

yes the liners are Ti.

it is a great fighting knife.

since imho its so much a one purpose folder (ie self defense) it probably doesnt have the demand of say a commander, thus the price.

the neatest ones are the emerson collectors assoc P-Tacs that are zero ground, i have one and they rock. i edc'd my ECA P-Tac for about a year and it did everything i ever asked it to.

i have heard the tips are kinda fragile and they arent the best for utility, & arent waved, but other than that they are great knives imho, esp the ECA versions (which are hard to find now and expensive when ya do find them)

IIRC i heard on the other forum they were disco'ing them.
