Persians are back

Congrats on your purchase, you're gonna love your Persian. I received mine, a SF model, on 12.27 and it's one helluva great knife.
 
I got it and it is amazing. It is incredible in the hand as all Emerson's are. I do have one worry though, the liner lock just barely engages on the blade. I hope this will get better with time. I do love this knife though.
 
I have two Emersons - both with limited engagement - and have never had any lock up issues. Just be sure to give everything a little washdown to remove the grit, blow out, and re-assemble. Love the h*ll out of mine, and looking for a third.

All my Emerson have come like that (and yeah the lock engages more with time) and I never had any problem whatsoever. Do not worry, it'll be a-ok.

PS: Flames fan uh? We only played you guys once this year, but it was a great game: we won 9-0. :)
Sorry I just couldn't resist a bit of hockey horse play! Meant it in a good natured way, hope you guys manage to get to the playoffs.
 
Honestly, this knife has become my new favorite Emerson. I feel like it is "apples to oranges" when comparing it to other Emersons, however it really seems like the one to own.

If I could only have one Emerson, this would be it.

Haha, Nope i'm not a Flames fan, I'm a Oilers fan. You know the team who has been at the bottom of the barrel for the past 3 years, but we have been getting the 1st over all pick every year so one day we will build a team. The avatar is from one of Iron Maidens Canadian tours a few years back. Its a pic of Eddie.

Oh the Oilers! Well the future's bright for you guys...RNH, Eberle, Hall, most likely another nice pick this year (maybe even Yakupov or Galchenyuk depending where you land at the end of the season...)...in a few short years you guy will follow the path of the Pens of the mid 2000s when they drafted all their big guns...scary stuff!
In the meantime, we're sputtering again: lost to the Pens 2-1 and on top of that it looks like Joe Corvo left the game with an injury...
