Dear Members,
I just inspected the first batch of finished Persians.
I own a manufacturing facility. I run a manufacturing facility. The reason that neither my staff or myself have not given a hard date for the Persians is that we never have a hard date. Anyone who owns or works in manufacturing knows that Mr. Murphy and a host of other circumstances can step in and literally destroy your plan. I must say one more time, there is a huge difference between getting on the phone to China and saying; "Send me another 2000 xyz's. Have them delivered on July 18th, or building something in house. We've learned that a supplier may not deliver material on time, a mill runs out of stock, a storm stops all shipping from the East Coast or even a supplier going out of business can stop a schedule dead in its tracks. We've had all of these and many more take their toll on schedules.
So now you should understand why we won't give a firm date on completion time. When ever we did, it has always come back to bite us.
However when a knife is done, then it is available.
Persians are done!
Call right away as we are already filling backorders on them.
My Best Regards,
Ernest R. Emerson
