Persistence Dimensions Needed

I'm think about getting a persistence as my first edc knife. I'm tired of spending 5 to 10 minutes looking for something to open packages and such that I can't open with my bare hands. Can anyone who has one tell me the width of the knife when closed. It's not something any web site has listed. Also I'm wondering how they feel in your pocket. My son just got a Kershaw skyline for Christmas that's about 1" when closed and that is hardly noticeable when in my pocket. The persistence looks to be quite a bite wider.

Hi Sam,
I have both of those knives and the Persistence is definitely wider, especially when closed. It measures just a hair over 1 & 1/2 inches at it's widest when closed. The difference in width is less noticeable when the knife is open. I often don't use the pocket clip and haven't noticed much difference between the two when carried loose in the pocket (even though the Persistence is a little heavier). If you always use the clip and slenderness is a big issue, the Skyline wins for sure. Having said that, I do prefer the Persistence. I've probably been more impressed by the Persistence than any other knife I've bought, maybe in part because it's one of their "value" knives. It's made in China and it doesn't have fancy steel, so I wasn't expecting too much, but mine is fantastic. It feels solid, fits my hand nicely, opens really smoothly and fast, and is just a really well made knife. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the dimensions. With them I was able to mock up a 1.5" x 4" chunk of cardboard to carry around in my pocket last night and this mornig. Hardly even notice its there. Went ahead and ordered one today at lunch.
