I have owned many "Spydercos" and can't find fault with any even though I haven't kept but a couple. A "Spin" my wife carries and a "Micro Dyad" that I really like on weekends. I have a friend who has a "Tenacious" and is very fond of it. I thought the knife was of great quality but just didn't ring my bell. When the "Persistence" came out I was intrigued and waited for some reviews. Well I broke down and bought one (a Persistence) from "knifeworks" and I have been playing with all week. For(me) it is as near perfect as I could hope for in the stage of knife gathering I am at right now. Not tactical but sensibly usable and built to last for ever at a decent price. I have really cut my collection back to knives I really use and have a real need for and this "Spyderco Persistence" is a keeper. It is just the right size open and closed, built like a much more expensive knife. Great blade design and materials. Weight is fine for me at 3.3oz. I like everything about it. I was carrying a "Buck Vantage" around that was filling that need of size weight and usefulness in an inexpensive package. Well that "Buck" has some serious competition at present. I will be EDCing this knife for a while!
