Persistence sized version of the PM2?

I am relatively new to the folder world, but i own (and like) the Spyderco value folders - Resilience, Tenacious, Persistence and Ambitious. I also own and like the PM2, and was wondering if there is a slightly smaller version or model to buy. Sort of how the Persistence is the "little brother" of the Tenacious. Is there a "little brother" version of the PM2.

Thanks, and apologies if this is a dumb question!

If you're looking for a smaller knife with a compression lock, look into the Lil' Temperance or the Salsa. The "S" might be okay too? Not the same type of handle material and such though.

They're hard to find too.

There is not a direct little brother to the Para 2 like the Tenacious family has. I think it is really hard to simply scale down the Para 2 and have a knife just as fantastic. Its size is a big part of why it is so great. Another compression lock knife that is a bit smaller than the Para 2 is the Junior. I would say though that the shared locking mechanism and G10 with steel liners is all they share. The action is also not as good, and it is done that way on purpose for safety reasons. The blade does not freely close once the lock bar is released.

Buy both the Military and PM2. Carry the Military around for 2 weeks. Then put the PM2 in your pocket and carry that. It will seem plenty small.

the handle shape would have to change. There is no way you could hold it if you chopped .5-1 inches off.

Tell us what you love about the PM2 and maybe based on what you like about it, we can recommend a smaller Spyderco. There is nothing that is just a scaled down PM2 though, as others have said, it's size is pretty much why it's so great. A knife that might be worthwhile looking at is something like a Caly 3 maybe. Slim handles, forward choil, G-10 scales (depending on version) but an overall length that is about an inch shorter. It is a backlock though vs compression lock which a significant difference.

Closest thing i can think of is native 5. Its got the same bushing system. Back lock instead, but the blade will fall closed when you activate it.

Thanks to all of you for your insight - Syncharmony especially - as the Caly 3 seems to be exactly what I am looking for... I also appreciate you guys' kind handling of a Newbie!
