I made this one for myself, (at least for the time being.) I plan on offering this model in customer choice of saber or full height grind, if there is interest.

8 1/2" overall
4 1/4" blade
1/8" O1 steel
Textured flats
Ironwood with brass pins

I got a chance to handle this knife this morning and I will tell you that it feels GOOD!

That may be the best looking JK I've seen. Please keep ahold of this patern. If/when I can justify the purchase of another knife, this would be the #1 contender.

i like it a lot. i don't prefer the pronounced blade hump. i might knock that down. but, i love the overall ergos of the knife.

specifically, i love the look of the handle. is it really a 5 1/4" handle though? that's big. and, the perspective of the pic doesn't make it look like the handle is an inch longer than the blade. i would prefer it not to be, but that's why i'm asking (thanks)....

I'm pretty sure I measured it wrong, I will measure it again when I get out to the shop. I need coffee first, this running on 4 hours of sleep each day is killing me!

Nice knife, I bet it would be very useful around the camp site, a lot of different chores. If that handle is as comfortable as it looks, it would feel great in the hand. I think Johngets his handles right, all too often a good blade will feel l awkward due to an unbalanced handle.

If anyone is interested, these will sell for $190 + $8 shipping, in any standard handle material.

I have been looking for a reason to get my first JK.....and this might be that reason. What a great knife! PM sent.

I'm taking this one to Michigan, going to let the guys try it out and get some feedback.
