The Personal Defence Tool (P.D.T.) will be coming this weekend. It`s a kiridashi style knife, that will be priced at $40 shipped, with sheath.

I added a signup list in the next post

Here are a couple of photos of one I ground out, but not heat treated yet.

These are meant as a "last ditch" type tool (notice how I said tool, and not weapon), and are 5" overall, 1" tall, and made from 1/8" O1 steel. The large 1/2" hole is for your thumb and index finger to grip it, the 1/4" hole is for a short lanyard to pull it from the sheath. These are chisel ground, buyers choice of right or left side ground.

I could put on 1/8" thick micarta slabs for $50, or 1/4" thick micarta for $55. They would still have the holes for gripping and lanyard. I`m going to start a signup list at the top of this thread for those who are interested.

Count me in for one, 1/4"' with jade ghost green scales, left side grind. I am going deer and elk hunting in Oregon starting Thursday, I will be back around the 25 th. If it is going to be completed by mid Nov
like the Nessmuk I will pay for them together if that's ok. I will have my IPhone with me, but no access
to bank or post office. Just let me know.

I'm thinking that I want a plain one with a slim kydex sheath. I'd like to be able to use the rounded end as a cap popper. Have you seen the pocket tools that have a slight bevel on the rounded end for use as a prybar? What do you think?

I actually have one of those tools here somewhere. So, do you mean the same shape as the PDT already is, but with a slight bevel on the end?

Exactly. And move the lanyard hole back a bit to accommodate the bevel.

Jeff

Back toward the blade just enough to clear the pry end bevel.

Jeff

I think this is going to sell well. I want a clip on the sheath too, John, just like on the pocket scandi you made me.

John, I just noticed that the rounded end is rounded a bit heavier on the top side. Since I'm using this end as a pry bar, can you grind it uniformly round. Thanks.

Jeff
